"Doti d’amuri"

Among embroidery, majolica tiles and family memories, a collection that turns Sicilian tradition into an everyday gesture of love.

"Doti d’amuri"

There is a silent heritage that runs through the homes of Southern Italy:
it lives in majolica floors dating back to the 18th century, in embroidered linens kept in drawers, in handwoven blankets, in the stucco decorations of noble residences, and in all those so-called “minor arts” that have, in truth, preserved the most authentic memory of families. This is where Doti d’amuri begins: the new plate collection by Ceramiche Navanzino, composed of ten decorative designs inspired by this ornamental and emotional heritage. It is a journey through Sicilian tradition, transforming ancient decorative motifs into everyday objects to be lived, shared and passed around the table.

In Sicilian, Doti d’amuri means “dowry of love”. It recalls the dowry that accompanied women into marriage: a trousseau made of lace, fabrics and handmade pieces, created slowly, stitch by stitch, gesture by gesture. But it also carries another, deeper meaning: dowry as a gift, as talent, as knowledge handed down over time. The knowledge of the women who once embroidered, and of the artisans who still decorate every piece by hand today.

Each plate holds a family memory. And as we set the table, it reminds us of all the love hidden in the small gestures of those who came before us.
