Folkori

The Folkori – Souvenir collection is a limited series of ceramic plates that reinterprets the most iconic symbols of Sicilian folklore through a contemporary visual language. Inspired by the colors and decorations of traditional carts, boats, and popular heritage, the designs combine naïve aesthetics with modern proportions, creating authentic and distinctive design objects.

The collection includes ten subjects that tell the story of Sicilian identity: Saints Agatha, Lucy, and Rosalia with their symbolic attributes, the Sacred Heart ex-voto, the sun “U suli,” the Trinacria, the Sicilian cart, the Moor’s Heads, and the Sicilian Puppet reimagined through a critical and contemporary lens. Each plate is conceived as a design souvenir, capable of bringing together tradition, culture, and contemporary visual language. Available in 20x20, 27x27, and 32x32 formats, Folkori plates are produced in a limited numbered edition from 1 to 100, making each piece unique and collectible. A collection that celebrates Sicily by transforming its symbols into decorative objects with strong aesthetic and narrative value.
